Mr. Hunter/Adopted's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

If you thought the Bassadors were cute, take a look at Hunter, Madison, Riley, Sofie, Sunny, Tiga, and Winston.  Their mom was a bassett/beagle mix and they all have little short legs and long bodies.  They were born on 5/30/11 in foster care.  They are all so adorable and eager to please even the other dogs in fosters.  They play hard but know when to settle down for night time.  They have been exposed to leash and crate training but as puppies, will need more guidance and training.  For short periods of time they are house trained but need frequent potty breaks.

Hunter is the LOVE BUG deluxe of the pack.  He will come for loving before food.  Once in your lap he puts his little arms around your neck and gives kisses.  He would prefer a home with a playmate as he is very sociable.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mr. Hunter/Adopted, a Santa Fe Basset Hound/Beagle puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Beagle for sale in Santa Fe, or seeking a Basset Hound/Beagle puppy from a breeder in Santa Fe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Fe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Fe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Beagle breeders who help with Basset Hound/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Fe paves the way for another one to be saved.
