You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Please note--He will only be adopted to a great home with dog experience and excellent verifiable vet records--He also must have a playful doggy friend in his new home--Not a senior dog--but a younger dog that likes to play like he does.
Shaggy Picasso is a 4 month old miniature poodle.  He weighs 12 pounds right now, will probably be around 18 when full grown.  He loves playing with his foster sisters, 2 standard poodles.  He also played with a adult german shepherd when he was at the shelter.  He loves all dogs and all people.  He is very smart and learned the doggy door after pushing him through it twice.  He goes in and out of it all the time and loves it.  He is learning potty training right now and is doing pretty good. He loves to be held and loves to go walking.  He draws attention everywhere he goes.  He also loves squeaky toys and dog beds. This sweet boy is sure to keep you laughing.   Keep in mind that he will need to see a groomer every 6 to 8 weeks depending on how long you like to keep his hair. Please email for an application for this angel.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Picasso, a Santa Fe Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Santa Fe, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Santa Fe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Fe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Fe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Fe paves the way for another one to be saved.
