Curtesy Post for Sweet Boy

Hi, I’m Wally.  I was fondly given that name because I was found wandering around in the WalMart parking lot.  My foster mom doesn ’t understand why someone left me there because I’m simply adorable.  I’m lots of fun for the kids and try to put on my manners for the adults.  I am 4-1/2 months old and have already had all my shots (including rabies).  I have been neutered and am heart worm negative.  I’ ve been around small dogs and enjoy their company; I really like it when we get to stretch our legs outside.  When I was picked up from the Walmart parking lot, I was taken to a shelter that mislabeled me a pit bull-you are probably more pit bull than me.  That shelter doesn't adopt pit bulls, not even puppies, so I was rescued off death row.  I'm so grateful that I promise to be a good boy and be good to you, if you have room for me in your heart.  PS.  I'm doing really good with not going potty in the house--just have to be reminded.

Please email my foster mom at for more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wally, a Santa Fe Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer for sale in Santa Fe, or seeking a Pointer dog from a breeder in Santa Fe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Fe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Fe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer breeders who help with Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Fe paves the way for another one to be saved.
