Jemma--Precious Angel Girl---N's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Jemma is such a special angel---she was found as a stray very thin and evidently her old "OWNER" had put rubber pants on her --maybe she was in heat--we do not know--but they were too small and rub huge blisters on the inside of her legs--she could barely walk----we have treated her with antibiotics and prescription ointment for burns----she loves to cuddle and is good with other pups--we are letting her heal completely and put on some weight before she will be spayed----Obviously we are looking for a very loving home that will snuggle and love this girl and never let her be injured and untreated again----At her foster home she is a big very soft dog bed and she burrows down in it and looks at her foster mom as if to say THANKS----She is just starting to be able to actually run and play and for her photo shoot today had so much fun----if you have LOTS of love to give and are ready to spoil a little angel---please contact  and thanks for checking out all of the great dogs on Southern Comforts Animal Rescue  WE DO WANT HER TO HAVE ANOTHER SWEET PLAYFUL DOG ABOUT HER SIZE IN HER NEW HOME

All of our dogs are spayed/ neutered before adoption. Adult dogs have had their core vaccines---parvo, distemper, bordatella, and rabies, puppies have had a series of four vaccines All dogs are tested and are heartworm negative.  In addition they have been de-wormed and kept on heartworm prevention and flea prevention while in foster care. All  dogs come with a micro-chip already implanted. Adoption fees range from 175.00-235.00 depending on the dog. Many times the adoption fee does not even cover the cost of all of the vetting we have done for a dog.  Our dogs are all fostered in private homes in Texas or New England; We do not have a facility.  WE ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR GOOD FOSTER HOMES. YOU MIGHT EVEN WANT TO CONSIDER FOSTERING A DOG YOU ARE INTERESTED IN.  Contact leeselman@comcast for more info on fostering Please contact the person listed in the bio for more information on a particular dog. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jemma--Precious Angel Girl---N, a Santa Fe Bichon Frise dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bichon Frise for sale in Santa Fe, or seeking a Bichon Frise dog from a breeder in Santa Fe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Fe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Fe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bichon Frise breeders who help with Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Fe paves the way for another one to be saved.
