So sweet

Sweet Libby was born to a stray mom--she was rescued by a good Samaritan and has had all of vetting and is now looking for a great forever home--- we thought these pups were lab mixes--and we do think there might be some lab in there--but Libby and her brother-Logan--also on the site are delicate and smaller than a lab----They were born approx. Oct 2013  and currently weigh about 25-30 pounds--we think these pups will grow some more---but they will be more med dogs---they are fostered with rat terriers and cats and get along great with all of them----If you might like two med dogs , you might want to think about Libby and Logan--they are great together and could keep each other company-----They are doing well working on leash walking--they prefer harnesss and love to fetch toys as well.  While Libby only weighs about 25 pounds she does have the look of a mini-pointer--she also has the ridge on her back like a Rhodesian Ridgeback so she is truly a Heniz 57 little cute mutt !!!  They do not have to be adopted together--but we would like them to have the chance to play with other dogs in their new home, neighborhood , at the dog park etc

contact  and thanks for checking out all of the great dogs

All of our dogs are spayed/ neutered before adoption. Adult dogs have had their core vaccines---parvo, distemper, bordatella, and rabies, Puppies have had a series of four vaccines All dogs are tested and are heartworm negative.  In addition they have been de-wormed and kept on heartworm prevention and flea prevention while in foster care. Most dogs come with a micro-chip already implanted. Adoption fees range from 125.00-235.00 depending on the dog. Many times the adoption fee does not even cover the cost of all of the vetting we have done for a dog.  Our dogs are all fostered in private homes-we have no facility--WE ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR GOOD FOSTER HOMES--YOU MIGHT EVEN WANT TO CONSIDER FOSTERING A DOG YOU ARE INTERESTED IN.  Contact leeselman@comcast for more info on fostering Please contact the person listed in the bio for more information on a particular dog. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Libby with video S, a Santa Fe Whippet/Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Whippet/Pointer for sale in Santa Fe, or seeking a Whippet/Pointer dog from a breeder in Santa Fe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Fe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Fe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Whippet/Pointer breeders who help with Whippet/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Fe paves the way for another one to be saved.
