Willow-Beauty-N-Video's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

This precious angel was actually dumped in a neighborhood---  a lady was sitting on her porch and witnessed this--- this loyal little girl ran as fast as she could after her family but they never looked back---  The lady has two dogs of her own and  got her to safety and called us for help---  we had a foster spot and were happy we could take this pup in---we estimate her date of birth to be about Fall 2014--she is approximately 14-15 pounds--- the vet and groomer both think she is a schnauzer with some poodle mixed in---so she should be a low shedder---- This girl is very agile and loves to go for walks and likes to  play with the other pups in her foster home--she would be a great walking buddy or even hiking--she could keep up !!!  She is fostered with Romeo--also on our site and they have lots of fun together---please contact us if you would like more information on Willow--and please check out her video !!!

~~All of our dogs are spayed/ neutered before adoption. Adult dogs have had their core vaccines; parvo, distemper, bordatella, rabies, and puppies have had a series of four vaccines.  All dogs are tested and are heartworm negative.  In addition they have been de-wormed and kept on heartworm prevention and flea prevention while in foster care. All  dogs come with a micro-chip already implanted. Adoption fees range from 175.00-235.00 depending on the dog. Many times the adoption fee does not even cover the cost of all of the vetting we have done for a dog.  Our dogs are all fostered in private homes at various locations; We do not have a facility.  WE ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR GOOD FOSTER HOMES. YOU MIGHT EVEN WANT TO CONSIDER FOSTERING A DOG YOU ARE INTERESTED IN.  Contact leeselman@comcast for more info on fostering.   Please contact the person listed in the bio for more information on a particular dog. We are very careful in placing our dogs and look for the best home for each dog.  Thank you for considering a rescued pet and we look forward to helping you find a great dog match.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Willow-Beauty-N-Video, a Santa Fe Poodle (Miniature)/Standard Schnauzer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature)/Standard Schnauzer for sale in Santa Fe, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature)/Standard Schnauzer dog from a breeder in Santa Fe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Fe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Fe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature)/Standard Schnauzer breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature)/Standard Schnauzer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Fe paves the way for another one to be saved.
