Shadow's Story...

Shadow is patiently waiting for her forever family to come along! Miss Shadow is the perfect example of how black dogs get over looked". She has been in foster care far to long and we don't know why?! She is so perfect! Her foster mom says she loves other dogs, kids and cats! What more could you ask for? She is about 2 years old and was thrown out and left to fend for herself. Luckily she was trusting after all she had been through and we were able to save her. She wants nothing more than to have a family of her own! If interested in adopting Shadow please send us an email with a way to contact you at straypawsrescue@gmail.com or feel free to call us. her adoption fee is $200 which includes spay, up to date on all vaccines, microchip and heartworm test/monthly preventative.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shadow, a St Louis Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in St Louis, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in St Louis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St Louis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St Louis paves the way for another one to be saved.
