Facts about Buddy

  • Breed: Pit Bull Terrier/Rottweiler Mix
  • Color: Unknown
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Unknown
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 435592
Handsome Buddy is in search of him forever home! This exuberant guy is quite the charmer, and is already winning hearts throughout the shelter. While Buddy has a ton of potential to be an excellent companion, he is definitely still quite rough around the edges. Buddy doesn't have any experience being left alone to his own devices, and therefore has some potential to be destructive if left for long periods of time. To curb this behaviour, we would recommend Buddy go to a home where someone is home frequently, or has the ability to send him to doggy daycare regularly. Buddy has a wonderfully easy going nature when it comes to other dogs and could definitely integrate into a multi-dog household, pending a proper fit. Overall, if you have some dog experience and the time to invest in this bouncy boy, he will truly start to shine! If you think you might be just what this boy needs then come by the shelter during viewing hours (12-5 daily) to see him in person and fill out an application!

About BC SPCA - Victoria Branch

About Our Shelter...

See our website at www.spca.bc.ca/Victoria for all of our current adoption prices, hours of operation, etc.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
