Goldie's Story...

Goldie is a borderline senior long haired kitty.  She is approximately 8 years old and was surrendered when her owner passed away along with 4 other kitty siblings.  She is a very unique girl, considering orange cats are usually male.  Goldie has only been with us for a few days and right now she is decompressing and spending a lot of time alone.  She's very sweet, but is very unsure of what is going on.  She's accepting pets and love from her foster, but she is just very unsure right now.  Goldie uses her box regularly and is doing fine eating and drinking.  She is pretty large in size, though we don't have a specific weight yet.  Once we know a bit more about her, we will update.  She is spayed, will be UTD on shots, and tested for feline AIDS and leukemia.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Goldie, a Nesquehoning Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Nesquehoning, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Nesquehoning.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nesquehoning already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nesquehoning breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nesquehoning paves the way for another one to be saved.
