Facts about Stormy

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Gray, Blue Or Silver Tabby
  • Age: Kitten
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: C011191
  • Hair: Short
Stormy was part of a large colony in Gibsonton (60 adults -TVNR, 16 kittens). I took in three of the 16 kittens: Sunny, Stormy, Winter. The poor babies were very weak , underweight and sick. they were just covered with fleas and ear mites. When she joined our little foster family he was pretty scared and is still on the nervous side. She had never been inside a house, seen dogs before been handled by humans. It didn't take her long to realize how wonderful life was inside! The outside world for a little kitten is very dangerous and scary. They often go with hungry tummies and have to hide to stay safe. Playing is hard to do when you have to hide but now he has lots of toys and friends. Stormy and her siblings will still need some time and patience to truly feel safe. But I know she will show her gratitude every day for being saved! As a young kitten, she will do best with another feline friend! Please contact me for more information about Stormy or her foster siblings!

About St. Francis Society Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

St. Francis Society Animal Rescue is an all volunteer, non-profit 501-c-3 animal rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of sick, injured, and stray domestic animals as well as spay/neuter and medical services for those animals. We seek to place animals in a loving foster or permanent home after recovery and we DO NOT euthanize unless terminal illness necessitates such a decision. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, tested for leukemia/FIV (cats), wormed and vaccinated before they are adopted.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Some of our cats ready for adoption can be seen at the following Adoption Center locations:

PetSmart, located at 12835 Citrus Park Dr across from the Citrus Park Mall. Our volunteers are onsite for adoptions Saturday and Sunday from 12:00pm to 5:00pm and will be happy to assist you with finding the perfect feline companion. PetSmart management can assist with an adoption during other days/hours, time permitting. Cats are onsite 7 days a week.

PetSmart, located at 11331 Causeway Blvd in Brandon. Cats and adoption counselors are onsite for adoptions Saturday from 9:00am to 3:00pm and Sunday from 10:30am to 2:30pm only.

Petco, located at 13127 N Dale Mabry Hwy. Cats and adoption counselors are onsite Saturdays from 11:00am to 4:00pm only.

We have many more cats than the ones housed at our Adoption Center locations. Our cats live with foster families until they are ready for adoption and space is available at an Adoption Center. If a cat is located in a foster home and the foster has provided contact information, you can get more details on a particular cat directly from them.

Our Adoption Process...

Cats are to be indoor only; no declawing; must present proof of pet deposit and copy of lease showing pets are allowed if renting. cats are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate shots, wormed and defleaed. More is charged for exotic breeds (or mixed) - i.e. Siamese, Persians, Bengals, etc.
