Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hope is an 11 month old Australian Shepherd x Labrador mix who puts the "special" in special needs. Deaf and visually impaired, this sweet girl does not let her disabilities get her down (can you say "handicapable"?). Hope had a ruff start to life, but things are starting to turn around for her. Hope's previous owners "de-barked" her and, as a result, she developed scar tissue in her throat that severely affected her ability to breathe. She was dumped at the shelter in respiratory distress. Herding Haven rescued her and, with the help of generous donations, provided her with the life-saving surgery she needed and today she is breathing a lot easier! Hope is crate-trained, house-broken and walks very well on a leash. She is spayed and up-to-date on her vaccinations. If you are interested in Hope please contact kathie@herdinghaven.org
