Meet MARTY! Marty is about 2.5 years old, 20 pound, tri-color beagle mix. He is so sweet, friendly with everyone he meets and a very happy and playful boy. He loves to meet people, go for walks, and would be happy to be involved in any activity the family wants to do. Marty settles down nicely to hang out with his people and seems to understand housetraining. Marty lost his way in rural NC and ended up in a high-kill shelter in North Carolina. We do not understand why his family did not come to find him. PetConnect was able to come to his rescue and has brought him to the DC area to find his forever home. So now Marty is ready to leave his past behind and find his new, and this time, forever home. Marty would love to curl up at your feet (or in your lap) to hang out on a warm summer evening; he loves to cuddle and get pets! Marty is being fostered with another dog (Boone also looking for his furever home) and seems to enjoy hanging out with him; he also seems to respect the kitties in his foster home. He would be an excellent new member of the family! Marty is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives and eager to find a family to love! The adoption fee for Marty is $295, which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter.
***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check.
