My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shadow is a sweet 8 yr old spayed, female, breeder-released full Golden Retriever. While she was making beautiful babies, she didn't have much opportunity to learn the pleasures of life with a family and is naturally concerned about new sounds and strange movements. She still prefers the comfort of an open crate or a favorite spot near the couch, but has begun to walk around in small areas. She is sometimes a reluctant eater and drinker, but doesn't go too long before she nibbles at some kibble or takes some water.

Shadow is not a dog that will be going on walks or trips with you away from home, at least not for some time. She is still unsure about being in the back yard and wants to get back inside as quickly as possible. Because of her fears, she will need to be on a leash at all times while outside, meaning that any dog door should remain closed unless she is crated.

Shadow is a kind, gentle, but fearful soul who needs a home that can give her love, patience, a kind voice, and gentle touches to bring out that wonderful Golden personality. She will also need another mid/large confident dog in her forever home to show her the ropes.
