Ruth Bader Ginsberg's Story...
Ruth Bader Ginsberg (RBG), her three litter mates and mom (Sandra Day O'Connor) were rescued from rural Missouri when the kittens were four weeks old. RGB is a sweet and playful kitten. She's confident and loves to explore, but she also enjoys to snuggle with humans and other kittens. Like all kittens, she needs a playmate to be happiest. She really is the perfect kitten. Her mom, who she is of course very bonded with, is also available for adoption. Sandra Day O'Connor is a wonderful mother and very young herself. Even though she was always protective of her babies, she was very polite to other cats and the small dog in her foster home. She's simply a wonderful cat and we think RGB will be a lot like her mom. Can't decided between adopting a adult or a kitten? Get the best of both worlds with these two! Or, RBG also has four foster siblings that she loves - Ares, Poseidon, Iris and Hera. They are a few weeks younger than her and they all love each other.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ruth Bader Ginsberg, a St. Louis Calico kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in St. Louis, or seeking a Calico kitten from a breeder in St. Louis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Louis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Louis paves the way for another one to be saved.
