Tango's Story...
Tango is sweet boy who is about one year old.  We think is a Terrier mix, with maybe Maltese.  He coat will be gorgeous after he has a date with the groomer later this week.  Tango is a bit on the shy side so maybe a home with older children may be best for him.  He loves to cuddle with you (as you can see from his picture) He would rather be held than be down.  Tango is learning to walk good on a leash and will need some work with house training.  He is almost crate trained at this point.  Tango is a small kid only weighing about 12lbs and this is as big as he'll get.  An approved adoption application is required. The $185 adoption fee (payable by cash only) includes spay/neuter; microchip; dental teeth cleaning (if needed prior to adoption); vaccinations; and heartworm testing. Our adoption application may be found by going to: www.headinhomerescue.org; then click on the link to the adoption application. Dogs for adoption may be seen by appointment only following an approved application. Proof of completion of an obedience class is required for all dogs following adoption. Please note: while we welcome out of state applications, we do not ship our animals and require adopters to come to Holland to finalize any adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tango, a Holland Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Maltese for sale in Holland, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Maltese dog from a breeder in Holland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Holland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Holland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Maltese breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Holland paves the way for another one to be saved.
