Mia Bella's Story...
Mia Bella is a sweet young gal about 4 years old.  If you're looking for a running companion, this is the dog for you. Mia Bella was adopted as a puppy and recently returned to us because she and the other dog in the household (who was smaller) seemed to have trouble getting along.  She didn't realize her size and sadly it was Mia Bella who had to be rehomed.  She does like other dogs her size and she plays very well with them.  Mia Bella would do best in a home with older children (12 and older). She knows all her commands such as sit, shake, lie down.  She loves to run as her previous owner was a runner and the longer the better for her. She is just really sad to be back with us and really wants to be back in a home soon. An approved adoption application is required. The $125.00 adoption fee (payable by cash only) includes spay/neuter; microchip; dental teeth cleaning (if needed prior to adoption); vaccinations; and heartworm testing. Our adoption application may be found by going to:; then click on the link to the adoption application. Dogs for adoption may be seen by appointment only following an approved application. Proof of completion of an obedience class is required for all dogs following adoption. Please note: while we welcome out of state applications, we do not ship our animals and require adopters to come to Holland to finalize any adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mia Bella, a Holland Retriever (Unknown Type)/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Retriever (Unknown Type)/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Holland, or seeking a Retriever (Unknown Type)/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Holland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Holland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Holland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Retriever (Unknown Type)/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Retriever (Unknown Type)/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Holland paves the way for another one to be saved.
