Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet sweet Vivienne, or "Viv", as we call her. She is a sweet, calm, & affectionate little lady. Viv has the coat & eyes of a Catahoula but the body of a small breed dog like a French Bulldog or Boston Terrier. She came to rescue with her 2 puppies, who were adopted together. She was been a great mom but now it's time for her to find a forever family. Viv seems most comfortable lounging on the couch but every now & then she loves a run in the yard with her 4-legged friends. She gets along with dogs, big & small. She especially loves her bigger foster brother Max and it would be a huge bonus if they could be adopter together, but not necessary.
Adoption fee is $225. Vivienne is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped & kept on heartworm prevention.
*PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT www.RuralAnimalRescueEffort.org
An application and home visit are required. A RARE representative (normally the President and/or foster parent(s) will bring the animal of interest to the home in order to ensure the right fit, perform meet & greet and answer any questions, go over vaccination and other vet paperwork etc.. An adoption trial may commence at that time, if RARE and potential adopter(s) are in agreement. Please complete the application on our website www.RuralAnimalRescueEffort.org and we will call you to explain the adoption process in more detail and answer any questions you may have.
*If you are not in the middle Tennessee area, transport can potentially be arranged to approved homes, depending on distance. We normally do not allow adoptions outside of 4 hours driving distance due to limited resources and difficulty ensuring the right match, especially if there are already animals in the home.
**All of our pets are, or will be, spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines and micro-chipped prior to adoption.
Our adoption fees not only help the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heart-worm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need to be made available for adoption.
Thank you for choosing to adopt, foster, or aid in the rescue efforts of RARE!
