I am already neutered, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Doc's Story...
Doc is a sweet, kind-hearted little guy who was badly abused in a puppy mill. Because of the abuse he is very scared and will need someone willing to be patient and gentle with him and show him that people can be good and kind. He is gentle-natured and patient, and shows signs that he is willing and wanting to learn what love is...he had just never experienced anything but torment for the first two years of his life, during which he spent 24/7 in a small cage. Now that he is safe and healthy, we would love for Doc to find a patient family for Doc who is willing to give him time, space, and plenty of snuggles while he learns all about what life is supposed to be like!

Doc gets along well with other dogs and has not shown any aggression. We believe that given time and love he will come out of his shell and make a very loving, sweet and incredibly loyal family member.

Doc has been examined by a vet and found to be healthy; he is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and vaccinated against rabies, parvovirus, parainfluenza, adenovirus and distemper. His adoption fee of $350 helps to cover just a few of the costs associated with rescuing and caring for him. He comes with a health guarantee and free first vet exam!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Doc, a Oswego Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Oswego, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Oswego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oswego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oswego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oswego paves the way for another one to be saved.
