Buddy's Story...

Buddy is a one year old Bassett Hound / Beagle mix.  He loves to run and play with the other foster dogs, enjoys exploring the backyard and going on walks.   Buddy and his sister, Bella (also available for adoption) were victims of unfortunate circumstances.....their mom had to care for ailing parents in Mexico and their dad works long hours, so we were asked to take them and find them a new home.  Buddy is house and crate trained.

Buddy's  adoption fee is $225.00 which includes all vaccinations, neuter, microchip and 1 month of heartworm preventative. If you are interested, please complete the   Adoption Application    on our website at   a4apetpantry.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy, a Hillsboro Basset Hound/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Beagle for sale in Hillsboro, or seeking a Basset Hound/Beagle dog from a breeder in Hillsboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hillsboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hillsboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Beagle breeders who help with Basset Hound/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hillsboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
