Zoey is a sweet 4 yr old goofball, who loves to be the center of attention!! She is seriously the sweetest dog who wants all the attention and to curl up in your lap or beside you to snuggle and sniff. She is not a barker or a licker. She loves to bury her nose in your neck and sniff. She's pretty goofy and sweet, completely unaware of her body and size and loves to pretend she's a tiny lapdog.

Zoey is friendly with other friendly dogs,  She walks great on a leash and loves to make friends with others. She likes to chase the cats but it's more of a game then out of ill will.

Zoey is already housebroken and is fully crate trained. She goes straight to her kennel when the treat box makes noise! She's AWESOME with kids, from newborn on up and had been nothing but fantastic with every person she's ever met.

She does tend to run if she gets out in an unfenced area. But she responds well to positive reinforcement. She is not very food driven but loves her toy ropes and chewy balls. She is microchipped, up to date on shots.

About Underdog Rescue of Arizona

About Our Rescue Group...

Underdog Rescue of Az is an all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescuing and re-homing of abandoned and/or abused dogs.

We are a foster-based rescue, and do not maintain a physical base of operations. All of our animals are placed with loving, caring safe foster families until they are adopted. We are also an "All Breed" rescue, and do not discriminate based on breed, age, size, etc.

Underdog's mission also includes educating the public on the issue of animal welfare. We strive to promote shelter reform, spay and neuter education and emergency rescue information & assistance.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We attend multiple adoption events throughout the valley during Spring and Fall.
If you are interested in a specific pet, please complete our adoption application found on our website and we can then coordinate a meet and greet.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters will be required to complete our Adoption Application, read and sign our Adopting Policies and Procedures, and participate in a home visit by one of our adoption representatives. Our Adoption Application is located on our website:

We also have a mandatory two-week Foster With Intent to Adopt trial period for all animals in order to be certain the pet is a good fit for your family.

Our standard adoption fee for dogs is $200; puppies are $250.

Non-standard fees do sometimes apply. Puppies younger than six months may have a higher fee. Designer dogs, purebreds, and other toy type breeds may also have higher adoption fees than the standard $200.

We do, however, have discounted fees for dogs that are seniors, a pair of dogs adopted together, or cats. If you are a veteran or an active duty service member, please ask about our partnership with Pets For Patriots.

All Underdog pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped prior to adoption.

We are a 501c3 non profit, your donations save lives and are 100% tax deductible.
