Monty's Story...
Meet Monty. He and his littermates came to VPAS from another shelter when they were only 6 weeks old. Because they were born outside to a stray cat the other shelter said that the kittens would never be adoptable. We're sure glad these kitties proved them wrong.
Monty is the most outgoing kitten in his litter. He is adventurous and very playful. He can make a toy out of anything and loves to play with his friends. He is a little shy around new people, but if you play with him he quickly becomes your best friend. Because he is the socialite of the litter he will do best in a home where he has another critter to play with, or where someone is home for much of the day to spend time with him.
For more information about Monty please come to VPAS for a visit.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Monty, a Saanichton Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Saanichton, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Saanichton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Saanichton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Saanichton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Saanichton paves the way for another one to be saved.
