Curly's Story...
This is Curly, although he is not curly, but he is adorable. He is a one year old male, short haired cat that is a mix of a Manx, with a 3/4 length tail. He has a lot of personality and loves attention. He is up to date with his shots and has already been neutered. He was checked at the Vets and is Negative for Feline Aids and Leukemia. Curly did live in a household with children, dogs and other cats (he will need time to settle in to a new home and feel safe in his new surroundings). He had been an indoor/outdoor cat but it would be nice if he could be convinced that he is safer indoors. Curly is available for adoption and because he is already neutered his adoption fee is only $5. If you would like to come meet Curly, please give us a call at: 860-870-3155.

Act quickly to adopt Curly. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Curly, a Ellington Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Ellington, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Ellington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ellington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ellington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ellington paves the way for another one to be saved.
