My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Katie is a mellow 10 year old chocolate female. At 90 lbs. she is a little heavy, but she wears it well. She is kind of sad right now because her owner who she had been with since she was a pup is having health problems and can’t care for her anymore. And if that wasn’t enough, her brother who also lived with them got sick and had to be put to sleep. So she has reason to be sad and anxious. She loves to fetch her tennis ball, walks on the leash, gets along with other dogs, is house trained and knows how to use the dog door. She rides well in the car but needs some help getting in and out. Not sure about cats but she likes to swim and was ok with her owner's grandchildren. She is currently taking medication for an ear infection and some pain meds for arthritis. I think she would like to be in a home where someone is there a lot, especially right now. If you would like a sweet older dog maybe Katie is right for you.
