My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meko is an incredibly sweet 6 month old pittie mix puppy that had a pretty rough start in life. He was rescued by our AHS Newark facility from the home where he was living in absolutely deplorable conditions. He and his siblings knew nothing of human contact or cleanliness, but at least they still had each other. Meko and friends spent several weeks getting strong and healthy and now, they're ready to move on into great homes. Meko is one of the more outgoing of the bunch and while he is still shy, he warms up very quickly and gets all wiggly and excited the minute you show him some attention. He absolutely loves playing with his siblings and comes alive around other dogs, so he would do well in a home with another fun-loving, well behaved dog, but will need a home with no kids under 10. Meko will need basic puppy training and also help with walking on a leash, but he is a fast learner. He just adores people and will be a loyal and loving companion to a family that will give him the time and patience he needs to settle in. File#27276 5/18/17
