WHISKEY is a young momma who came to us with her two kittens CHIP and DALE from a colony of cats at a home. This sweet girl is still a kitten herself and she likes to play with toys when she is not busy being a wonderful and loving mom to her kittens. She also seems to be accepted and liked by all other cats, so would be a great match with an existing cat in the home. She is friendly, smart and adaptable, and she talks to other cats and kittens with little chirps and prrruurps. Whiskey is smaller kitty, although living outside before she seems like she would be a happy inside kitty also. Currently she is caring for a room full of kittens with another male cat, they are surrogate mum and dads, washing the kittens and taking care of them :) But we are sure Whiskey would really like a home of her own.

About For The Cats' Sake

About Our Rescue Group...

For The Cats' Sake was founded in 2014 in response to a need for TNR in Rappahannock County, Virginia. Since that time, we have encountered many situations where there is no place for the cats to be returned. In other instances the cats are friendly or there are momma cats too pregnant to be spayed, or young kittens that are adoptable, but need socialization and foster care. Currently we have about 40 cats and kittens in foster care being prepared for adoption. All felines are Up to Date on vaccinations and tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV. Depending on age at time of adoption, they are also Spayed/Neutered.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our foster homes are in Flint Hill and Culpeper VA.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process begins with an application which includes vet references and landlord permission for renters. Potential adopters are encouraged to visit the cats/kittens in their foster homes so they see them in a comfortable situation. In many instances a volunteer will deliver the cat/kitten to their new home to assist the family in preparing their home getting the adoption off to a good start. There are no set fees, we request a donation.
