My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Emme has got to be one of the mellowest cats of all times. This gentle tabby is a shy, friendly girl with a big heart and a quiet meow! Emme enjoys attention from her people, happy to hang out with you on the couch while you watch TV, read a good book, or zone out for a while. Emme loves being petted. We’re not exaggerating…so far, her record is being petted for 30 minutes straight! Although Emme adores being petted, nothing makes her happier then when you focus your efforts on rubbing her back! She’ll purr in pure bliss! After all, who doesn’t enjoy a good back rub?

If you’re not available for quality one-on-one time, all Emme needs is a comfy cat bed where she can snuggle in and make herself at home. If you can’t find Emme, chances are she’s in one of her beds - she simply loves them! She’s also a fan of cat condos and can often times be found on the highest platform where she can keep an eye on everyone. At least until mealtime…she’s a great eater and doesn’t miss a meal!

Emme is incredibly playful! She loves playing with crinkly balls, toy mice, pipe cleaners, and has also been known to dabble in cat dancer toys. Emme does fine with other friendly kitties that are just as mellow as she is!

It’s hard to imagine our sweet Emme, the little girl who loves back rubs and cat beds, as a stray on the streets fending for herself. Safe and sound at last, Emme is happy she can look forward to a brighter future, one that includes a family she can call her own! To learn more - www.azrescue.org.
