Hi! My name is Bunny on account I was sprung from the shelter the day before Easter; I'm a SNUGGLE bunny; and, since I somehow lost my tail, I have a little nub that resembles a bunny tail! Oh, and I kinda hop! I am a happy, super sweet, petite (only 25 lbs), 1 year old Beagle with the prettiest face. I love being close to my foster Mom and will contort myself to ensure a full body massage. I like my foster brother and sister but I growled at them at first. I do not mean anything by it. It is just a defense mechanism but we are doing much better now, and even starting to play. I get a little anxious when alone, so I think I would do best in a single family home with another dog. I do well in my crate and am getting the hang of potty training. I know how to sit and am learning to stay. I will need proper training but I am eager to learn and I will do just about anything you ask for a treat! According to my microchip, I was originally adopted as a puppy from the Irving shelter and when I was found wandering the streets, animal control left a message with my family but they never called back. I am hoping to find a new family who will love me forever and never abandon me, again. Could it be you?

We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be spayed or neutered, on heartworm prevention, and be primarily inside dogs or we will not consider your application to adopt. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.

About Education & Animal Rescue Society (EARS)

About Our Rescue Group...

Education and Animal Rescue Society is an all volunteer, non-profit Texas corporation whose mission is to educate the public about issues concerning animal behavior and proper care for pets including an emphasis on vaccinations, spay and neutering, and nutrition. Further, EARS is committed to finding homes for unwanted animals that would otherwise perish in shelters. EARS keeps all of its animals in homes with volunteer foster families where the animals are loved and treated like a part of the family until the right permanent home is found.

Goodsearch will donate a penny to EARS virtually every time you search the internet!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not have a shelter, as all of our rescue animals are living with foster families in private homes. You can meet one of our animals by appointment once your adoption application had been processed and initially approved (final approval occurs right before the adoption is complete). Also, EARS has Meet and Greet Days at various local venues in the Dallas area. We will post the dates and times of the Meet and Greet Days on this website. Meet and Greet Days are an opportunity for you to meet some of our animals. Unfortunately, not all of our animals make it to every Meet and Greet Day so please contact us at adoptions@earstexas.orgto check if your four-legged friend of choice will be available to meet you. (We do not do any onsite adoptions.)

Our Adoption Process...

If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please email us at adoptions@earstexas.org for an application and more information. Since we are an all volunteer group, please be patient with us in responding to your inquiries. Thank you for your interest in our adoption program!
