Hi! My name is Cami. I’m around 3 years old and am about 30 pounds. I’ve gotten all of my growing done, so I should stay around the size I am! I look like I have some greyhound or whippet in me- possibly with some terrier mixed in there. I am a shy girl, but I really, really, really want to be loved. I will need a family that is patient with me as I open up over time. I promise you- I have a heart of gold so it will be worth the wait!
I will definitely need to go to a home that has another dog- having a canine buddy makes me feel more relaxed and I learn a lot quicker that way too! I am not always good at understanding that a situation is safe for me, but I watch my foster brother, and take cues from him. He has helped me figure out a lot in a short period of time! Do you know how comfortable couches are?! I finally got the courage up to jump up with the family one night after my foster brother did. It’s amazing! And, once I get to know you, I’ll wiggle in right next to you for an evening of watching t.v.
I LOVE being outdoors! It's so much fun to run through the grass and find all the interesting smells. I also love the feeling of the wind in my fur- so you’ll get to see me racing around when I’m outside. This is why I do need a physical fence. I am always trying to get my foster brother to play, but sometimes he’s not interested, so I race around by myself instead. It’s great fun when he does want to play tag though! It feels so good to stretch my legs, and it’s a place where I’m not nervous. My foster parents say it’s really amazing to watch. I don’t know if it is, but I sure enjoy it!
I do live with a cat currently. We pretty much ignore each other- she’s older so she is not into playing much. That’s ok by me. I also live with a young child (around 9 months). I move out of the way when he is coming near. Due to me being a little anxious about my surroundings, I would best go to a home without younger children. I am really good in the house so I do not get crated when my foster parents are not home.
You'll be able to see how smart I really am, and how much I care when you look into my eyes. I do want to get to know you, but I'm still pretty scared. I am sure that I am going to make a great connection with my new fur-ever family. It's going to be great! My adoption fee is $275, which includes all vetting, including spay, vaccinations, flea treatment and a microchip.
