This is Ru! He is a 1.5 year old Lab mix adopted from the Maricopa County Animal Care and Control-East Valley shelter in Feb. Ru was listed as a stray but knew how to sit, shake, high five, and wait patiently for food when I brought him home so he was obviously someone's before me. I have a feeling his relationship with his previous owner wasn't the best due to certain behaviors, like retracting when a hand is raised quickly, so he needs someone understanding and respectful. Ru is the biggest snuggle bug, a great watch dog, and loves to play with tennis balls and rope toys! He does well on a leash and enjoys hikes but he loves car rides the most! He's excited to meet new humans but he hasn't met any kids or cats. He lived with our senior bischon for 5 months before she passed away. Ru is not food aggressive and very smart. It breaks my heart to have to re-home my boy but my hope is that he'll find a patient, loving, energetic owner with plenty of space and time to devote to this cutie!
