Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ruby is a sweet and gentle English Mastiff girl that is 5 years old. We received a call from a shelter in Louisiana because they had no room for a dog of her size. It was love at first sight for them when they learned about her calm and cuddly demeanor. They wanted to make sure she went to the best home possible and realized that she deserved more out of life than living inside a shelter.
Ruby is an easy-going girl that prefers living in a low key and quiet household. She gets along well with other dogs but prefers the company of dogs with similar energy levels to hers. She seems very curious about cats, therefore, she would do best in a home without any. Ruby instantly wins over everyone that she meets with those beautiful, big, brown eyes. She loves getting attention from men, women, and even some kids that she met at the local park. Ruby does prefer her kids on the laid back side and who are big dog savvy.
She is house-broken, crate trained and has just about mastered walking on a leash without pulling her foster mom too much. Together they are working on some basic obedience skills, but Ruby is catching on very quickly. She is heart worm positive and will need to continue heart worm treatment at no additional cost to her family. If you have any questions about Ruby or any of our other dogs, please feel free to contact us at: info@bullpenrescue.org. Our Adoption Application can be found on our website under the ‘work with us’ tab.

We highly recommend that our potential adopters fill out an online application as soon as possible, as it greatly expedites the process of finding the right dog for your situation. The adoption app is available on our website (www.bullpenrescue.org) under the 'work with us' tab. If you choose not to fill out an application before inquiring about a particular dog, please briefly tell us about yourself, family, and lifestyle since this will help us determine if the dog you’re interested in is a good match.
Our dogs are available for adoption nationwide but preference is given to adopters willing to do an in-person meeting. Please understand that our dogs are not adopted on a first-come, first-serve basis, but rather we strive for a “perfect placement” so we know that they will not be failed again.
