My name is Matilda! I am a (small-ish) Shepherd mix and am approximately 1 year old, I weigh about 17 kg right now but I need some help filling out (and I won’t mind working with you on that at all!). I came in as a stray but can still tell you some wonderful things about me. My foster family is happy to report that I am fully house-trained, and I get along well with their 4.5 year old black Lab just fine. I am affectionate and love getting pets and belly rubs from my whole foster family – in fact, my foster home has two boys ages 9 and 11 and I love giving them kisses and hugs. I really like walks, so it would be great if my new family likes to exercise also. I also like to enjoy the sun and will sit out in the backyard soaking up the rays for as long as can. I am a little shy at first but warm up to everyone fast. I may be a little food aggressive with other animals – once or twice I have warned my “foster sister” not to touch my food - but when I am reminded not to do that, I listen quickly (and I have shown no signs of this at all with people). I am really not fond of a kennel. However, my foster family has gone out for the day and trusted me to stay out, loose on the main floor of their house with my “foster sister”, for five plus hours, and I rewarded their trust – they were pleased to come home to an undisturbed, clean main floor!
