My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you would like more information about BoJangles or are interested in adopting him, please send an email to meganwright.3009@gmail.com. BoJangles is located in the Austin area.

I first saw Bo tied to a tree in the far back of an open backyard in Austin, TX. He just laid there without movement as my pack of 2 walked by. We walked by him almost every day and he just laid there. My female got loose one day and she ran straight to his yard. They were nose to nose. They both just wagged tails. At this point , I saw he was underweight and wanted to rescue him but my partner told me to let him be.

Almost a year later this past May, a big thunderstorm came through and BoJangles got loose. The following morning my partner went out to my car and BoJangles came running straight towards him with his tail waggin and his big puppy paws slippin behind him and a giant smile. I’M FREEEEEE! BoJangles was now completely emaciated, bald with a severe case of mange, coated with thousands of fleas, and had red ears because of ear mites. The owner said BoJangles had been their nephew’s dog. But he had moved out and they didn’t want BoJangles any more.

So we rescued BoJangles and I instantly fell in love with his rehabilitation. He was so grateful, so happy, and listened so well. We went to a local coffee shop, the flea market, the parks with no issues. Unfortunately, we could not neuter BoJangles right away because of his severe mange and he developed some behavior issues with my female dog.

BoJangles is fixed now and he is becoming easier to manage. We are looking for a permanent home where BoJangles can continue the training we have started. He really has a beautiful soul. He won’t take much work just stay on the exercise, discipline, then affection rule and he will be an amazing member of your family.
