Yamato's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Yamato's Story...
Yamato is a 12-year-old male red Shiba Inu who was surrendered to a shelter when his owners didn't want to care for his allergies. DCSIR took him in and after a neuter and a medical work up, he is available for adoption!
He has a very sweet temperament and gets along well with other dogs and cats.  He loves to play fetch and acts much younger than his age. He rides well in the car and likes going on adventures!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Yamato, a Manassas Shiba Inu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shiba Inu for sale in Manassas, or seeking a Shiba Inu dog from a breeder in Manassas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Manassas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Manassas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shiba Inu breeders who help with Shiba Inu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Manassas paves the way for another one to be saved.
