Imouto means “Little Sister’ in Japanese, a small 8-year-old female Shiba Inu who was dumped in a shelter with her sister Ane. The two dogs lived their whole lives with one family, but after they had kids and their lifestyle changed, they no longer had time for the dogs and took them to a shelter to live in cages. Thankfully, the staff at the shelter helped Imo and Ane get to DCSIR where they could live in homes like before when they had a family.
Imo and Ane both love being near people and love being petted--they will even nudge you for more petting if you stop! They have very gentle temperaments and like playing with each others outdoors. Imo will follow her foster mom around to make sure she is OK, and is the more vocal of the bonded pair.
