My story

Meet Louie! He's not quite sure he wants to meet people just yet, but he's starting to get happier around the other dogs and we even caught him playing with them when he didn't think anyone was watching! Louie was the most terrified and shut down of the shepherds we rescued from life in a junkyard in Elizabeth a few months ago. He was kept in a separate area from the others and often got loose and roamed the busy streets, but his under a trailer anytime people were around. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body and is very slowly making strides in getting more comfortable around us. He will need a very special patient multi-dog home where he can have time to watch and learn from the other dogs and enjoy life in a home. We do not have a shelter- all our pets are in foster homes and can be seen by appointment only during the week, or at our weekly pet adoptions every Sunday at the Animal Clinic of Morris Plains from 12:30 to 3PM at 3009 Route 10 East next to 5 Star Car Wash (formerly Boulder Car Wash) in Morris Plains (Denville on GPS). Local inquiries only please- we do not do long distance adoptions.
