Here's what the humans have to say about me:
RAINIER and his siblings were found with very bad eye infections, the infection is gone but has left behind scar tissue over one eye. He does not have sight in that eye, but it is not causing any pain either. He is a special kitty for someone special that does not mind how he looks. He may have drainage from that eye that is just tears. He will need a little eye clean up from time to time. He really needs a home with a family that will keep regular vet checkups for him. He is super sweet and deserves a great life. He is currently at the shelter, living in a multi-cat enclosure (started out with 5 other kittens, 4 of them have recently been adopted)... and he is getting lonely and wondering why no one wants to take him home to love. Come meet this adorable kitty boy and see just how "perfect" he really is!
The animals that are posted are available, unless it is stated 'adopted'. If one is 'pending' you still may submit an application in case the adoption does not go through. The Wyandotte Animal Adoption Center has created a committee who reviews all applications before releasing any animal to a new home.
If you visit our homepage www.wacshelter.com where there are links to the questionnaire/application that helps us to place the animals into homes that match both the adopterâÂÂs and animalâÂÂs needs. Wyandotte Animal Adoption Center reserves the right to decline the adoption of any animal for any reason if it feels the home will not be a good match.
IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
We will make every attempt to contact approved applicants within 5 business days of application submission (M-F), but this will depend on the number of applications received.
Please understand that by answering the questions does not guarantee the adoption of the pet, nor are you obligated to adopt the pet.
We adopt to homes that are best fits for our animals' needs, and not on a first-come, first-served basis.
*ADOPTION FEE: Cats are $65 (cash only-sorry we can not make change) that includes spay/neuter, distemper vaccine combo test. Rabies vaccine if old enough. If you are adopting a kitten or cat please bring a carrier.
Hours for Adoptions:
Monday, Tuesday & Friday from 5:30 to 7:30pm.
Saturday: 10am to 2pm.
Please check our Facebook page for any special events or bonus adoption hour days.
