Zooie is a handsome adult male Moluccan Cockatoo, that is approximately born in 1994. He is an all around wonderful bird.  Zooie loves everyone he meets and wants to be the center of attention.  He would do best in a home where he can be a part of the family and be involved in the daily activities.  When Zooie feels left out he will be very LOUD.  He does know how to entertain himself with his toys and spends hours chewing his wood blocks, shredding paper, and making lots of noise.  Zooie has been moved around so much during his life and he deserves to find his forever home.

Zooie's fecal tested Positive for traces of the DNA for PBFD.  He is NON- clinical of a true PBFD case. To err on the side of caution, Zooie should be the only bird in the home.  For more information about PBFD please refer to the below link.
If you are interested in adopting Zooie please visit our website at and fill our med/large adoption application out.

About For The Love Of Birds

About Our Rescue Group...

For the Love of Birds is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of companion birds. We are a network of volunteers throughout New Jersey, and surrounding areas. We take in birds in need of new homes, and place them in nurturing and educational foster homes until a loving new family is found.

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption procedure begins with completing an adoption application and returning it to us. We will check your references and then call you for a telephone interview. While we check your references, we will ask that you review an educational power point presentation. After your application is approved, it is our policy that you visit with the bird(s) three times to have multiple interactions with them and give you time to consider the adoption and get ready for your new family member. There is an adoption fee for each bird.
