Chewy's Story...
N/M, 3 years, Golden retriever/Chow chow mix, 55 lbs

Howdy, folks! My name is Chewy, and I'm a handsome Golden/Chow mix!
Somehow, I ended up as a stray, and a kind person brought me over to
MaxFund. I'm looking forward to finding my new and forever humans!

I'm a very friendly boy who greatly enjoys my daily walks. I seem to
like well-behaved older children and other dogs. I dream of living in
a house with a nice and SECURELY fenced (at least 6 feet high)
backyard. I'd sure hate to end up getting lost again, so constant
supervision when I'm outside is going to be very important.

I'm a playful and active young guy, so I'd love to be with active
people who enjoy outdoor activities, like walking and hiking. I'm
potty trained. I'm a smart guy and a quick learner, so I'd like to
continue my canine education with a little more training in the finer
points of doggie etiquette.

Oh – I do enjoy chewing stuff, so I'm aptly named! You'll want to make
sure you keep a good supply of sturdy chew toys on hand for me!

Come on over and meet me! Maybe we can take a walk, and I'll tell you
more about myself!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chewy, a Denver Golden Retriever/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Chow Chow for sale in Denver, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Chow Chow breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
