Calvin's Story...
Calvin is a fun pup with a lot of energy. He is a Shepherd/Hound mix, 7 months old and neutered. His family felt he was getting too big for the baby so brought him to the shelter. Calvin is very smart, pretty good on a leash, has nice manners and has had some housetraining. He loves to play, he loves people and seems to get along well with other dogs. Perfect! And isn't he handsome!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Calvin, a Reeds Spring Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Reeds Spring, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Reeds Spring.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Reeds Spring already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Reeds Spring breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Reeds Spring paves the way for another one to be saved.
