This amazing girl is Emmy and she'd love to spend time with you. Emmy is a 6-year old Pit Bull and weighs around 55 pounds. Emmy was found on the Southside of OKC in the middle of traffic just trying to cross the street.

Emmy is a fun girl who loves to play with toys (at times she does destroy them) and go on walks but yet is a huge cuddle bug.

Emmy is a very strong girl physically and mentally so she will need a human who is firm yet still gentle. She is easily corrected but at times she will try and push her luck! As cute as she is who can blame her for trying to get her way!

Emmy needs to be an only fur baby! Definitely NO cats or other small critters.

Despite our efforts in getting Emmy extra training we feel she would do best as only dog. She has been in a play group at doggy daycare and doing well but still needs to be monitored.

Emmy LOVES people and is very gentle with children. She does get a little over excited at times and can knock smaller kids down.

Emmy is house trained and crate trained but can bust out of a crate very easily. Because of her strength an Easy Walker type leash (we can show a few that work for her) is recommended.

Emmy was heartworm positive when we took her in. She has received treatment and is on monthly preventative (VERY important for her to continue to be on).

She is spayed, microchipped and current on all her vaccines. Emmy's adoption fee is $140.

About Forever Yours Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Forever Yours Dog Rescue was founded on November 8th, 2011, with the mission of helping smaller animal shelters located throughout Oklahoma.

We are an Oklahoma City based all-breed 501(c) dog rescue, caring for the unwanted, abandoned, and abused dogs of Oklahoma. We rescue from local shelters and shelters throughout Oklahoma. We do take owner surrender's under certain situations.

We advocate spay/neuter and offer assistance in finding a low-cost option for those that qualify.

We promote adoption as an alternative to buying your pet.
We provide pet ownership education through materials, counceling, and on-site workshops, at no cost to the public, with an emphasis on preventative care.

We are all volunteer based, with no paid employees.
Please support us in our mission to attain a time in Oklahoma when there are homes for all adoptable pets by donating at www.foreveryoursokc.org/donate.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Forever Yours Dog Rescue does not have a facility, all of our wonderful rescues are in foster homes with families that take care of them and love them until their forever homes come along, which we have faith that they will!

We are at the Moore PetsMart on the 2nd & 4th Saturday of every month! And have special adoption events on a regular basis.

Our Adoption Process...

Every dog that is rescued by Forever Yours is checked by a veternarian, vaccinated, spay/neutered, dewormed, heartworm/ehrlichia tested and treated if needed, and microchipped. We also treat any other illnesses or issues that the dog may have on intake.

We require an adoption application (http://www.adoptapet.com/forever-yours-dog-rescue/adoption-application/), a house check, and our adoption fee is $140.00.

If available, you will get an opportunity to talk to your chosen pet's foster family when you meet your potential new family member. This will enable you to ask any questions and learn all about your pet.
