Hendricks is 7 years old. He will be 8 in November. He had been a member of his family since he was 7 weeks old and has found his world upside down. Hendricks is a nice dog, but he takes a little while to get used to new surroundings. He is not too great with other dogs, protects his food from them. He has never lived with them before, so he never had to share. Hendricks is completely house trained and has never been put in a crate in his entire life. We found that he does have cage aggression and does not do well once in there. He is ok with being leash walked but likes the yard. He also loves to go for walks on the beach and swimming. Once he is comfortable he is friendly, sweet, gives kisses and loves to play ball and get belly rubs. He also knows not to get up on furniture. He gets excitable at first when he meets people but over all he is a pretty mellow dog. He is great in the car and enjoys his car rides. Hendricks has to go to a home with no young kids. That is why he has been given up, we aren't sure of the circumstances of what happened but apparently he was left alone with a young child and ended up scratching them. Not sure if it was a bite, scratch or if the child fell since nobody was in the room. For safety purposes we recommend kids 10 years or older.
To adopt Hendricks is $100.00 which incudes his neuter, shots, heartworm test and microchip.
This dog will not be at our adoption center since he isn't good in the crate. However, if you are interested in him please email his foster at email@example.com
