Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Scout. My mom was part of a backyard colony being TNR'd (trapped, neutered, and returned). I was about two weeks old when she brought us to the backyard. My siblings and I were scooped up and used as "bait" to trap our mom and then all of us were brought to a foster, kept in a big crate while we nursed and grew bigger.
When we were weaned, our mom was spayed and put back in the yard because she did not want to be a people cat. But my brother, sister and I knew we were meant to be someone's adored family member.
Even as a 2-week-old, I was the most adventuresome, ready to come out and explore. So my foster mom thought Scout would be a good name for me. I am still the most confident of the three of us. I love to play, any toy will do: balls, mice, feathers. I know when I grow up I will be a lap cat, because even now when I get picked up I start purring.
I am plenty used to other cats; kids will be fine if they respect my space; dogs, I don't know but if you introduce us slowly I am sure I will be okay with them too.
I am not needy but would be happier with a companion: another cat, a dog, a kid, or a human around.
