My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Joker and I would love to tell you all the great things why you should choose me for your newest family member! I love long walks and lots of cuddles. My foster parents are doing a great job making sure I know what love is and what life should be like for one as handsome as me. A couple of things you should know about me is I may require lots and lots of toys, since I have just learned what they are, I have decided I love them and maybe a bed by yours, so I can be near you at night. I am living with a couple of other great pups and am doing very well. My foster parents also take me to Doggy Day Care so I get to run and play with the others. But if you don’t have another pup for me to share or play with, that is ok too because I love my humans and that special snuggle time. I seemed to have earned a nickname of, Houdini because I'm great at jumping over small fences so maybe walking on a leash or a big backyard would be best for me. I also love meeting new people and never have an issue with welcoming someone into my home. Car rides are a favorite pastime of mine and would love to go on adventures with you. Whenever I want some alone time, I enjoy lying in my crate with my favorite toy. When it comes to playing, I like to be loud and show that I'm having lots of fun, but don't be afraid to tell me to quiet down. I already know how to sit, shake, and high-five, but hope to learn a lot more. We aren’t sure what all the breeds I may have in me, and since I weigh 66 lbs, I may not be as big as a Great Dane, but when you see my profile, you will think my head came off of one. My foster mom can tell you so much more about me and would love to send you all kinds of videos because she says I am irresistible. Oh yeah, we think I may be around 3 years old too, but I play like I am 1. I can't wait to meet you, but hurry up because there is only 1 that is as great as me!

This dog is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested positive for heartworms, but was treated mid-July and is doing remarkable. The adoption fee is $375 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368.
If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between noon and 2pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
