Pansy's Story...
This happy lovebug is Pansy. She had a litter of puppies while in foster care and now has made her way to Friendship to find her forever home. Pansy's foster mom said she was a welcomed guest in her home and a good mom to her puppies. Pansy has a gentle demeanor and would be a wonderful companion pet. She loves going for walks and is great on a leash. What she loves the most is attention and hanging out with her human buddies. She's a definite favorite at the shelter. Please pick Pansy...if you're in the market for a great pooch.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pansy, a Elyria Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Elyria, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
