Meet the adorablry sweet "Cookie" She is 3-4 yr old spayed 10 pound female, Shih Tzu- Silky Terrier Poodle rescue mix. I am considered hypoallergenic. Cookie is so special. Cookie is very tender and loving. We do know a little of her history she was left in a garage and not allowed to be inside the home with people. Which breaks our hearts because she is so loving. She was treated poorly but has the most amazing spirit and will make a excellent best friend for home that will pamper her. And that's what we are seeking. No children under the age of 12. Seeking calm loving take me with you and let me sleep on the bed home. She requires professional grooming every 6-8 weeks.
Her energy is calm, yet inviting, and observant. Cookie is very intelligent. She likes other dogs her size. Cookie loves people, and is in a very loving, socialized foster home. Cookie is crate trained, but we prefer no crate, as a she loves being with humans. Cookie likes soft plush toys and is low to moderate energy and will require a semi active home. Cookie is eager to learn, watches everything and takes it all in. Cookie a rescue dog saved on her last day in a high-kill shelter in California. As for any rescue dog safety is #1. If a home owner we require a fully structured wood fence and to never be left unsupervised in a fenced yard. Another dog to play with or a friend to friends with would be nice. We are accepting and screening applications for the best home. A basic obedience class is suggested and all family members to be gentle and use positive training only. Cookie is a indoor dog, never to be left outside unsupervised. She loves to be held. If away from the home longer than 4 hours a dog sitter potty plan must be arranged prior to adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

"Cookie", a Seattle Poodle (Miniature)/Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature)/Shih Tzu for sale in Seattle, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature)/Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Seattle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Seattle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Seattle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature)/Shih Tzu breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature)/Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Seattle paves the way for another one to be saved.
