My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cobalt and Oliver are buddies and cage mates. They are 2 year old male parakeets who were surrendered to a shelter because their owners had no time for them. They didn't even name them & had them since babies.. They are not hand tamed yet, but are not mean. I got them on my fingers within minutes, but they have little interest in staying there long. They do not know step up yet, but parakeets are smart and with a little time, patience and work they can be taught to step up and want to just hang out with you. They must be adopted together and they do not come with a cage. The adoption fee for both is $24.00. There is an adoption application to start the process, so please email Debbie at dhbirdlover@gmail.com to get an application. A home check is part of the adoption process and all potential adopters must live within a 30 mile radius of Aurora, IL.
