My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dear Cat-loving Friends,

On Sunday June 25, I (Valerie at 1 (917) 693-5783) was scouting locations for a cat trapping that was scheduled for that evening when I heard the unmistakable cries of a kitten in distress.

I spotted this tiny tuxedo kitten pacing in a backyard and crying for his mother. Finally, a female cat came by and he attempted to nurse - but was rejected and left to continue to call for Mom. Eventually, another cat came by and he ran to her - but she too took off for the next yard and the meows resumed. Luckily the homeowner was present and I was able to rescue this sweetie. He’s now in the hands of a wonderful, capable foster mom who can bottle feed him.

The video attached shows the heartbreaking scene and I hope you can post it online or send it to friends so we can let folks see the plight of stray cats and - if we’re really lucky - find a forever home for “Sundae”.

The photos below show Sundae before and after he got cleaned up. He’s about 4 weeks old (eyes are still blue), has a cute white spot at the tip of his tail and loves to snuggle up to sleep when held next to your heart.

Anyone interested in adopting Sundae should contact me at vallycat@earthlink.net. He will be vetted and neutered and obviously needs to stay with his foster mom for a few more weeks but the sooner we find the perfect forever home, the better.
