Chantilly's Story...
Hi, I'm Chantilly! I'm a sweet, white kitty whose birthday is estimated as 5-11-17. I arrived at Acadiana Animal Aid on 5-25-17 with my siblings, Cheesecake, German Chocolate, and Red Velvet. I'm still pretty young, so you can fill out an application for me, but I won't be ready to go home until mid/late July.

I am also a Wounded Purrior Fund adoptable pet. As a non-profit, Acadiana Animal Aid does not receive funding from the government and relies heavily on donations. My additional adoption fee helps pay for major medical procedures of cats that are less fortunate than me.

The Wounded Purrior Fund is an ongoing chip-in to help the cats rescued by Acadiana Animal aid who have special medical needs. Broken bones, tail injuries, skin issues...all part of our everyday shelter life. With rising veterinary costs and so many pets in need, we appreciate any donation to our Wounded Purrior Fund.

If you are interested in adopting this cat please fill out an adoption application at http://acadianaanimalaid.org/adopt/cat-adoption/application/

All of ours cats have been Feline leukemia and feline aids tested negative, spayed or neutered, vaccinated with FVRCP and FELV, rabies vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chantilly, a Carencro Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Carencro, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Carencro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carencro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carencro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carencro paves the way for another one to be saved.
