liz's Story...
Hello everyone, my name is Liz and I am a 9 year old, spayed female Red Miniature Pinscher! I am a petite girl at 9 lbs., and am very healthy and energetic! My mommy is very ill and can no longer care for me so I am now living with a wonderful foster family that includes a 1 year old Dachshund (who also needs a home) and some older kids. I have access to a yard through this wonderful thing called a “doggie door” and I just love it! The lady with Safe Place who is helping me said I am just beautiful and am sort of “unique” in that she’s seen many black and tan Min Pins, but not a red one like me! I’m told I’m pretty quiet (especially for a Min Pin!) and I’m very friendly and loveable! I have not been around cats, but might do well.

I am seeking a new person or family to love me and if you think that might be you, please contact Safe Place for Pets at 719-359-0201 or email

Why Adoption is a Great Option

liz, a Colorado Springs Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher for sale in Colorado Springs, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Colorado Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colorado Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colorado Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colorado Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
