Ben (Los Alamitos)'s Story...

Ben is a 1yr old male that was rescued from the Lancaster Shelter.

He has been with Russell Rescue CA since May, 2017.  Since being with us he has been treated for kennel cough and is now recovered.

Ben is a fun dog.  He is full of 1 yr old antics.  He is learning how to socialize and to develop manners.  He is on the go all the time.  His new family will need to continue with his training.  He walks well on a leash.

He loves to play.  He is currently being fostered with (2) Jack Russell's, a 4 month old puppy and a 14 yr old chihuahua.  He will wear all of them out!.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ben (Los Alamitos), a Carmichael Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua for sale in Carmichael, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Carmichael.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carmichael already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carmichael breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carmichael paves the way for another one to be saved.
